Brand Identity Design
Just
like our unique personal identity, brand identity separates an organization
from other. Here, Brand is the perception by which the world sees the
organization. And the Brand Identity can be described as the combination of all
elements created by an organization to deliver right message among the
clients/users, and also helps in recognition in future.
Brand
Identity Design is an important part of business as it is the visual
identification of the organization. And the process includes deep understanding
of brand’s mission, target audience and goals and strategizing, so that the
visual identity portrays the message that the brand is trying to convey (PinkPot
Studio, 2018).
Brand Design Process
In
order to design a brand identity, first a designer should know the goals,
aesthetic needs and target audience of the brand. And based on the deep
understanding of these things, the designer can move to the other section which
is designing the preliminary contents like selecting the specific fonts to use,
selecting color palates, designing logos, icons and patterns, etc.
After
this, identities can be used in overall components of business like on
websites, brochures, postures, business cards, etc.

Some
of the things to consider while designing brands identity are
1. Color
Color
has its own properties and represents a specific value. Thus, if used properly
on branding, it can help to convey the right message among the users/clients.
Colors
can represent the demographics like age, gender, profession, region, nature of
the organization, etc. For example, bright saturated colors are exciting
whereas dull or toned-down colors represents serious matters.
Beside
this, different colors represent different meanings, which are discussed here.
2. Fonts/Typography
Typography
or type of fonts also plays a vital role in portraying the message of an
organization. The bigger bolder font size increases the importance of the text
or message, clean font represents the elegancy, authenticity and official
purpose, cursive fonts represents creativity, fancy, and something exciting,
etc.
3. Imagery
Using
the images on website can have major influence on an organizations brand
identity. Larger images can give a professional look whereas the smaller and
hand drawn icons illustrates fun and cheeky (Soave, 2017). Thus, the use of
images on website can tell a lot about your organization or company without
speaking.
