Project Outcome
Finally, the website has been designed with the implementation of brand identity design, strategic design and color psychology. The implementation of different website design principles on different components are discussed below

Design Principles and their influence

Visual Hierarchy

Before implementing the principle, the courses section was as shown in the figure below. Here, the courses were not so clear and appealing.

Following the visual hierarchy principle, the most important components of website are made recognizable. As shown in the figure below, design for the courses has been made by applying this principle. Here the most important contacts have been made in such a way that they are focused more than others. Like the image is on larger size and is related to the title, title for the course is on larger font size, following this Enroll Now button is also on bigger size.
Beside this, the design has enough white space which looks cleaner and easier to focus.

Fitt’s Law

The following image is a fixed departure section, before implementing the fitt's law and strategic design process.

Also based on the fitt’s law, the buttons are made more bigger to make easier to see and click. Here, in fixed departure section, the design is clean, image is clearly visible and the buttons are bigger and motivates visitor to click.

Similarly, following the strategic design process, the design is more focused on accomplishing the organization goals. The figure below shows the menu bar for easy navigation, social icons also leads to the social profile of the website.

The following image is a navigation for the trekking website before implementing the strategic design process.

The main aim of this travel website is to encourage visitors to contact for specific activities and treks. So, the top header has information about the office open and close time, and the contact number is also displayed on top.

Similarly, to collect the email of potential clients, a subscribe to newsletter options is also added. By collecting the emails, the organization can create email campaigns and do email marketing later.

The following image is the image of subscribe section without implementing the strategic design process.

Finally, a subscription section has been designed implementing the strategic design process as follows.

Color Branding is also implemented to design this website. The primary color for this website is blue whose meaning is trust, intellect and serenity. Similarly, green color is used on specific areas like buttons and icons which represents nature.

Hence, the knowledge of website design principles, color psychology, brand design, etc. has helped to design a website that is meaningful and also meets the organizational goals.

Rationale For this course, I’ve selected to learn and implement the strategic design process in website design. These days, websites are designed and developed which follow the latest design trends and looks awesome but fail miserably in their intended function (like revenue generation through sales, user interaction, etc.). Some of the common problems of website these days are i.                Navigation that is not clear ii.               Content that lacks engagement iii.              Website with poor representation and integration of brand, etc. And based on my research, implementation...
